Dr. Dina Rowe’s first experience with Charles Butt Foundation was in the summer of 2016 when she participated in the Harvard Leadership Program. Since then, she has continued to work with Raise Your Hand Texas as part of the original Principal Advocacy Fellowship cohort, a Charles Butts Scholar Mentor, and is excited to continue in this new capacity.
Dina is the Principal of Hickey Elementary in Plano ISD. Before moving into that role, she served as a Principal of Beaty Early Childhood. Her other experience includes assistant principal, counselor, special education teacher, substitute, volunteer, and parent in Texas public schools. She has also served as an adjunct professor for graduate students at Texas A&M University – Commerce.
Dina is married, with two children and two golden retrievers. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Texas – Dallas, a Master in Education in Counseling and Student Services from North Texas State University, principal certification from the University of Texas – Arlington, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University – Commerce.
