Letter from Founder

Our state’s best hope for the future is in our public schools and in our communities. There is tremendous potential in our diversity and rapid growth.

We believe public education represents the most promising tool available for achieving equitable opportunities and the best outcomes for the most people. However, our education system must adapt and innovate to maximize the return on investment.

We believe the answers to many of our challenges can—and must—be answered in partnership with those closest to the challenges. Deep engagement within and across communities is critical to piloting, confirming, and sharing solutions.

With a world-class public education system and vibrant communities, there is little we can’t achieve as a state.

We aren’t there yet. There is work to be done.

Texas can be better, and stronger. If we want every child, every community, and every company to reach their full potential, we must be relentless in our pursuit of this vision.

The Charles Butt Foundation team and I are fully committed. We invite you to join us on this journey.
