Sarah Borowicz

Sarah Borowicz is a Charles Butt Foundation alum from the Harvard School Turnaround Leader Institute in 2016 and Closing the Achievement Gap Institute in 2018. Having been raised a Mississippi State Bulldog, Sarah graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She went on to receive her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Texas at Arlington and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She has served students in Title 1 schools since 2006, teaching elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as serving in campus administration roles at the elementary and secondary levels. Sarah served as principal of two successful turnaround campuses for a combined six and half years. She currently serves in Elgin ISD as the Director of Curriculum & Instruction and School Improvement.

When Sarah is not working on improving educational outcomes for students, she is spending time with her husband and two brilliant daughters. They all enjoy the outdoors, reading books, and family dance parties. Sarah is excited about keeping Raise Your Hand alumni connected and learning from one another.
