Our Lady of the Lake University

Our Lady of the Lake University celebrates a long and successful legacy of preparing outstanding teachers. The mission of the Teacher Preparation Program is to prepare graduates to meet the educational needs of a growing and diverse student population. Housed in a campus known for small class sizes and one-on-one support, we graduate and certify passionate and committed new teacher candidates. After they complete our program, our graduates are ready to teach highly diverse students in highly diverse schools. We support our candidates in developing their teaching talents and skills so they can create the conditions in their future classrooms where all students can thrive and be successful.

We celebrate our partnership with the Charles Butt Foundation – for over eight years, OLLU has granted the Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers to 56 teacher candidates. We also applaud their success as outstanding teachers in schools across Texas.
