Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi

The College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is committed to excellence and educational achievement by preparing transformative leaders with 21st-century knowledge and skills to serve the needs of local, regional, and global communities. Through our partnership with the Charles Butt Foundation, we will launch our first community of scholars in the 2025-2026 school year. The scholar program will support teacher candidates who are pursuing certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Bilingual Education, Middle Grades Mathematics, Special Education, and Physical Education. In the first year of Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi’s partnership with the Charles Butt Foundation, we granted the Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers to 22 undergraduate students. If you are currently enrolled or planning to be a part of one of our eligible certification programs, we encourage you to apply. If you have questions, please reach out to Dr. Tracy Harper.
