The mission statement of the Department of Curriculum & Instruction is to prepare individuals to become self-directed professionals who have a systematic understanding of education in America and specifically Texas and to provide leadership through scholarship and service to the extended community of professionals. Students in the Tarleton Education Program are afforded opportunities to collaborate within a professional learning network of diverse educators. Our promise is to develop Tarleton Teachers who are reflective, well-prepared, effective, and student-focused educators who are ready to become leaders of classrooms in the schools of our state.
