Consistently ranked among the best public schools of education in the country, the University of Texas College of Education is committed to preparing educators and leaders to join us in responding to pressing challenges in education. We do this within three strategic impact areas: 1). advancing equity and eliminating disparities in education, 2). attending to place and context, and 3). thriving through transitions. We engage in thoughtful interdisciplinary work to prepare students for impactful careers, to bridge innovative research to practice, and to leverage our strengths in service to the state and our communities.

Charles Butt Scholars at the University of Texas College of Education can expect to join a cohort of talented and motivated students who are passionate about inspiring future generations. Scholars will be supported by their peers, a Program Lead dedicated solely to the Charles Butt Scholars, and will have access to a variety of other student services on campus. Scholars will also participate in bi-monthly social and professional development activities to build community, skills, and preparation for their future careers.
